When simple still isn’t simple
This is an update to my when simple isn’t simple post that I didn’t intend to do. But, it’s a slow news day, and I need to vent. I don’t expect anyone from AMZN actually reads this blog, but they still don’t get it.

MBA’s love spreadsheets, especially customizable ones they can put their own company logo in and show off to executives. Maybe that’s what Amazon is shooting for. I like simple pricing models that don’t need fancy spreadsheets.

I’m pretty sure this means your EC2 instance can boot, shutdown and (hopefully) recover from a crash like a server with a hard drive. I think. Maybe.
I do think Amazon is moving in the right direction with these changes. I just crave a simpler way of communicating and pricing, and I think they’re losing people that would otherwise love to use their services by not having it.
